Hadfield

The Hadfield font is an understated yet effective calligraphic style typeface from the skilled hand of British designer, Martin Wait. The capitals have been designed for initialing purposes only and, like the lowercase, are condensed. The Hadfield font is excellent for work requiring a reserved, upscale image. Hadriano Bold

Hadriano was inspired by the classical inscriptions Goudy saw in the Louvre, Paris. The capitals were designed in 1918 and the lowercase was added in 1930. Goudy endeavoured to retain the spirit of the original first or second century inscriptions. The Hadriano capitals are perhaps more successful than the lowercase, although this rather regularized version works reasonably well in text. The Hadriano font is best used in small quantities for headlines, labeling, etc.
